Address Acute Intoxication with Medical Detox Program in Arkansas

For a lot of men, the first step in recovery is not treatment. It is getting through withdrawal safely, under medical supervision, before anything else can begin. Families across Arkansas call SOZO looking for detox, and this page explains exactly what we do and do not handle.

SOZO Recovery Center does not provide medical detox. What we provide is detox referral coordination that places men with trusted partner facilities, and a program to walk into once that stage is behind them. One call to 501-984-5317 sets up both, so a man and his family are not left phoning one facility after another trying to work out who does what.

ASAM Level IV: The Withdrawal Care We Refer Men To

SOZO does not operate a detox unit and does not provide medically managed withdrawal. When a man needs that level of care first, we coordinate his placement with a partner facility that provides it, and we keep the handoff to our own program lined up while he is there.

ASAM Level IV is the industry term for medically managed intensive inpatient care. It is the level designed for severe withdrawal symptoms or medical complications related to substance use, with 24-hour nursing and physician care for adults who also have medical, emotional, behavioral, or cognitive needs.

Detox Referral Coordination for Men in Arkansas

When a man reaches out to SOZO and withdrawal has to be handled first, the coordination runs in three steps.

01.
Clinical Evaluation

Before any referral is made, our team works through what a man has been using, how long it has been going on, and what else is happening with his mental health. That picture is what determines whether he needs medically managed withdrawal first, and which partner facility is the right fit.

02.
Stabilization With a Partner

This phase happens at the partner facility, not at SOZO. Their medical staff handles the monitoring and the withdrawal symptoms. Our part during those days is coordination, staying in contact with the facility so his start date with us is already set when he is discharged.

03.
Transition Into SOZO

Withdrawal management is the beginning, not the treatment. Once that stage is complete, a man steps into SOZO’s own continuum of care in Arkansas: residential treatment, PHP, IOP, outpatient services, and sober living, built on Christian principles, the 12 steps, and licensed clinical care.

So if you are looking for detox in Arkansas, SOZO can point you to a trusted partner facility and have a place waiting for what comes after.

Ask About Detox Referral Coordination

Making the call is the hard part, and the man who makes it has already done something. SOZO is a faith-based recovery center for adult men in Arkansas, CARF-accredited and state-licensed, on a multi-acre campus in Jessieville. If withdrawal care needs to come first, we will coordinate that referral to a trusted partner facility and hold his place for the day he finishes.
