MAKING HISTORY DOWNTOWN
BRINGING LIGHT TO downtown hot springs

For too long, the fight against addiction has happened on the margins. Families in crisis have been forced to look outside our city limits, or leave the state entirely just to find the care their loved ones desperately need. We believe it is time to bring the solution home.

SOZO is reclaiming a building in historic downtown Hot Springs and transforming it into a sanctuary for restoration. This isn’t just about renovating an office building; it’s about establishing a stronghold of hope right in the center of our community.

“Sozo” means to heal; to make one well. We are building a place where that promise becomes a reality for thousands of men.

    Tell us your story

Feel free to contact our addiction rehab facility before enrolling. You can even seek the help of your family member or friend to reach us and initiate the conversation. Our empathetic team is always available to lend an ear. This is your opportunity to share your story and explain why you chose this moment to seek help.

Many of our staff members have personal experience with addiction and understand the journey to recovery. Share your story without fear and we will guide you through the steps of the recovery process.

    Pre-screening

Upon admission for treatment, we schedule a confidential pre-assessment. In this comprehensive process, we will inquire about your present mental state, physical limitations, and any medical concerns that can influence your treatment. This helps us gain a thorough understanding of your clinical requirements and provide you with a personalized treatment plan.

Our program incorporates both group therapy sessions, addressing a range of issues. In the initial days of the recovery process, you may face challenges. But as you overcome them, you will discover the tranquil and therapeutic environment of our SOZO Men’s Faith-Based Addiction Recovery Center.

closing the gap In arkansas healthcare

Every day we wait, another family faces the impossible choice of where to turn for help. Currently, there is a gap in the circle of care in our region.

By opening this new facility, SOZO will launch a Medical Detox Unit, making us the only center in Arkansas to offer all 5 modalities of care under one roof.

From the terrifying first hours of withdrawal to the long, steady walk of discipleship, we are building a facility where no one has to be turned away.

Your giving builds the infrastructure for the complete journey:

    • Medical Detox: The critical first step. Safe, hospital-grade stabilization.

    • Residential Treatment: A safe harbor for deep, root-cause healing.

    • Partial Hospitalization (PHP): Clinical support that builds resilience.

    • Intensive Outpatient (IOP): Walking out freedom in the real world.

    • Outpatient & Aftercare: A community that never gives up on you.

    the miracle in the middle

We have a vision. We have the building. And thanks to the incredible generosity of our early partners, we have raised $2.75 Million—50% of what is needed to complete the renovation and outfit the medical wing.

But “halfway” doesn’t save lives. “Finished” does.

We are standing at the threshold of a new era for Hot Springs. The blueprints are drawn, and the work has begun. Now, we need the community to stand with us to finish the job.

We are looking for partners who believe that recovery is worth investing in.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Here are answers to common questions about our expansion and the impact of your gift.

Currently, there is no addiction treatment center inside the city limits that offers the full continuum of care. By expanding downtown, we are removing barriers to access and adding a Medical Detox Unit—a service that is desperately needed in our region. This facility allows us to treat the whole person, from the medical needs of withdrawal to the spiritual work of restoration, without ever having to refer a family elsewhere.

The $5.5 million goal covers the complete acquisition and renovation of the property to meet medical standards. Specifically, your donation goes toward constructing the new hospital-grade detox wing, installing secure intake areas, creating private therapy suites, and outfitting the building with the necessary medical equipment and furnishings to create a safe, dignified environment for recovery.

We are moving at the speed of generosity. With 50% of the funds raised, renovation is already underway. However, we cannot open the doors to patients until the facility is fully funded and medically certified. Your contribution today helps us accelerate the construction timeline so we can begin saving lives in this new location as soon as possible.
