I found my Higher Power, my positive energy, at SOZO along with so many other things that I practice daily to the point of it being second nature to me now. But I’ve been taught that I can lose that when I leave SOZO if I don’t continuously work on my maintenance program. A.A. helps me maintain. A.A. also keeps me socially active with like-minded sober people who are determined to never isolate themselves again. With the combination of SOZO and A.A. I’ve learned how to start over, embrace positive change, and maintain my forward momentum.
My plan is to continue to learn how to live a happy, sober life by becoming an active member of Alcoholics Anonymous when I leave SOZO and return home.
